School District Map

In general, Bend school attendance is districted which means that your address in Bend, La Pine, and surrounding areas determines which school your child must attend. However, there are “Choice Option Schools” which are enrollment and lottery based, having nothing to do with the district boundaries in which you reside.

In-District Boundaries

With the Bend-La Pine School District being the fifth largest school district in the state of Oregon as of 2016 (33 public schools and counting), keeping up with which neighborhood is zoned to which school can be confusing. However, these zones (also called attendance areas) were put in place to avoid overcrowding in the schools and balance enrollment. For the fall of 2021, new attendance areas have been put into effect due to the opening of the new high school, Caldera High School. It is always important to stay up-to-date on any boundary changes for the upcoming school year, so be sure to check the Bend-La Pine Schools website for further information.
