The boundaries of this quadrant extend all the way south beyond downtown Bend and Old Bend, areas that host some of the best attractions Bend has to offer. NW Bend is also home to the riverside Drake Park and Mirror Pond, a popular destination for residents and visitors alike.
NW Bend includes the following neighborhoods: Awbrey Butte, Summit West, River West, and Old Bend. Living in NW Bend does come with a hefty price tag. Northeast (NE) Bend is an exceptional option for investors and an ideal area for first-time homebuyers as it’s the most affordable quadrant in Bend. The majority of homes in NE Bend surround the ever-expanding St. Charles Medical Center, the largest hospital in Central Oregon, and a level-2 trauma center. The south edge of NE Bend has a Costco, providing a convenient one-stop-shop for families living in this quadrant. Pilot Butte Neighborhood Park is an expansive park along the southern border of NE Bend perfect for outdoor recreation with a picnic shelter and tables, a playground, a plaza space, benches, and lots of trees providing shade.
