When it comes to public transportation, Bend offers a variety of options for getting around. Whether you’re commuting to work or school every day, to other neighboring cities or to access the wonderful recreational activities that the city and Central Oregon have to offer, Bend provides a number of easy-to-access, affordable transportation options.

Bend Local Routes

Cascade East Transit (CET) is the local bus transit option for Central Oregon bus travel. CET runs 9 fixed-service routes operating Monday through Saturday across the City of Bend.

Community Connector

CET’s Community Connector bus service provides a fixed schedule for buses that connect the communities of Bend, Redmond, Terrebonne, Prineville, Madras, Culver, Metolius, Warm Springs, La Pine and Sisters. Also, they provide recreation shuttles that connect Central Oregon residents and visitors with some of Bend’s best outdoor attractions like Mt. Bachelor and Lava Butte. Ride the River shuttle after floating the Deschutes River and the free Ride Bend summer shuttle to shop, eat and play at all of your favorite Bend locations across town.

Hawthorne Station

Hawthorne Station, located centrally in Bend on 3rd Street and Hawthorne, is the hub for long-distance bus travel in and out of Bend and is operated by several companies.

  • The Eastern POINT route provides daily bus service between Bend and Ontario, making a total of eleven stops along the way.
  • Central Oregon Breeze offers daily service between Bend and Portland.
  • Greyhound bus service can also take you to Portland, Eugene, Mt. Hood and other areas across the region.
  • Amtrak is also located at this station with service throughout the Northwest and across the country.

Mt. Bachelor Shuttle

For skiers and snowboarders, Mt. Bachelor and CET have partnered to connect Mt. Bachelor with bus service throughout central Oregon during the winter season.
